Spanish holiday town with basketball?

Looking for summer holidays and we prefer booking an apartment to package holidays, but my teenage son is quite obsessed with basketball and would love a hoop that he can play at. In my head, I am thinking of an apartment block near the town square with a park next door where he could take himself off to play with the local kids... Does anyone know of such a place? I imagine most towns would have a hoop somewhere, but I don't know how to search on an apartment in proximity to a park. Google doesn't really bring up anything.

There’s a basketball court at Cambrils familyresort.cambrilspark.com/en/the-resort/sports-zone/

I would have no idea how to find that.
Also, I’m not sure how popular Basketball is as a sport in Spain, we spend quite a bit of time there and I have only ever seen all the kids playing football.
Finally is your son really confident enough to go up to a group of non English speaking peers and join in? And you assume they will let him?
Its a nice idea, my DS loves Basketball but I just can’t imagine this happening

That might work though

There is a basketball hoop/court next to the playground just off the main square in Puerto Pollensa in Majorca. I suspect most Spanish towns have similar?

Basketball is much more popular in Spain than in the UK. Just about everywhere will have a sports club where you can play.

That’s great, not sure how I missed it, we have a communal court at our apartment and DS is the only one I have ever seen using it.

@Hoppinggreen I do think he would do it. It's not like you need to arrange a proper team game. If we have a ball and a hoop he can go and play on his own, or with us parents, or with his sister who will play for a bit, or another kid if they happen to be around. Then it's likely they end up playing together. I don't really think the language is a problem. I think it's much more possible if the park is just outside our apartment though!

Thanks for the suggestion of Cambrils @Fivemoreminutes1 I will take a look. I think what I am thinking of is more similar to the town square suggestion from @Cheeseandabsolutelycrackers so I will look at Puerto Pollensa too.

Maybe what I really need to look for is just apartments near town square...
