Separate travel insurance for DS

We're going abroad in June and I'm trying to book travel insurance for me, DH, DS18 and DD 4months.
I can't get us on a family policy because they are limited to 2 adults max.
Will it be ok to put DS on his own policy? I'm just thinking if we had to cancel if, for example, DD had chicken pox, would they still pay out for DS's place if he's on a separate policy?

Also with regards to medical conditions, do we just put our current ailments or do we have to declare every illness we've ever had? I had asthma as a child but don't have it now and haven't used an inhaler for 20 years, so would i still need to declare asthma?

Shop around, because some insurances allow you to include adult dependants. For what concerns asthma, you don't have it now, but you can declare it as it doesn't usually change the quote

Just a bump.
I'm struggling to find anybody that will quote for a family with an adult child. I just keep getting 'unable to quote'.
Any recommendations?

Try Staysure, they have single, couple, family and other. The other category should allow you to book what you need.
