Can’t decide where to go this summer but want to get something booked fairly soon….2 adults, 1 child (he’s 8). We have fairly specific dates because of work - last week of June into the first week of July. We did a eurocamps holiday in spain a few years ago and loved it, lanzarote was our most recent holiday away and not too keen on returning, just wasn’t for us.

So, requirements - self-catering preferred, either a mobile home/bungalow on a campsite (preferably a campsite on a smaller site as opposed to a massive, hugely busy one) or a holiday home. Within an hour’s drive of an airport. We usually hire a car so somewhere with a few interesting places to explore nearby would be good. Beach location would be fab.

Hit me up with all your ideas! At the minute I’m looking at Spain, Croatia, Italy and the Alrgarve and getting overwhelmed by choice 😅. Thank you!

www.riviera-villages.com/ near St Tropez. We flew in to Toulon and hired a car - and stayed at Kontiki. Some lovely beaches (apart from Pampelonne) and inland villages like Gassin. St Tropez, Ste Maxime, Port Grimaud are nice for days out - and there is the huge fun fair at Azur Park.

Padova Premium Camping Resort in Croatia

Totally agree with MissAmbrosia.

I fell in love with the area many years ago and when my SIL was having trouble finding a holiday that didn't cost a massive amount of money (she has 3 kids) I suggested a mobile home park there. They loved it so much they now go most years. There are lots of great campsites along the Cote d'Azur. She usually flies into Nice and goes to one in Frejus that has a good water park.

There's literally nothing not to like - the beaches are beautiful and the food is great, it's so clean and the people are friendly.

Make sure you go to the Gorges du Verdon, absolutely stunning and you can hire a small boat or canoes for all of you.

😁 We spent so many holidays in France when dd was smaller, now she's grown up I am trying to go to different places. But I would love to go back there. I see they have the huts with private pools now.
