Toys for long haul flight

We've got an 8 hour flight coming up in March, daughter will be 16 months. Does anyone have any recommendations on anything to keep her quiet/happy? We've got a travel busy board and some of the fidget spinners. I read to wrap everything up to give another element and that they need something new every 20 mins 🥴

Toomies Hide and Squeak nesting eggs
Very simple jigsaws
Chain links
This ingenious invention!

A long haul flight is an ideal opportunity for a child to learn an instrument, like a trumpet.

Yes wrap things up

My other tip is to get some glove puppets, they can be cuddled but you can use them to invent different stories multiple times 🙂🙂🙂

We flew when Ds was that age a year or so ago.
Wheres bluey book was a hit ( it’s like where’s Wally for toddlers)
Loads of snacks
soem julia Donaldson books
ipad.

Honestly, most other things were a pain. He dropped water draw pen so it rolled under seats. Ignored small toys.

Pipe cleaners ! They provided quite a bit of fiddly fun for my toddlers on a plane.

Stickers are good.
stacking cups.
magnetic things as they are less likely to move.
schleich animals.
bit of duplo.

Magnetic stuff
Snacks
iPad for when you've lost your mind (don't get it out til you've exhausted everything else!)

To be honest at that age a lot of walking up and down and hopefully sleeping will be happening.

Magformers are a hit when we travel. But he just drops them way to much on the plane and they get stuck everywhere.

Worth taking for using in hotel room or restaurants though, quiet and no mess.

stickers - those smiley face one they can just stick on themselves. Sticker books they are too young for I find

Ds was very entertained by our go pro camera last time… sets it up on the stand and films himself or the back seat..

snacks. Again. I didn’t know it was possible for a toddler to eat that many mini animal butter biscuits in one afternoon

Fussy felt book
magnadoodle- pen is on a string so can’t drop off!
