Paris with DD8

Hi MN,

I will be going to Paris with my DD8 during Feb half term for a girls break - we will be there for 3 full days. I'm looking for some tips on things to do... We're staying in Le Marais, and happy to walk around where we can (both quite active). I'm thinking of anything to do with animals, arty things, great places for food, some shopping perhaps. Any advice would be greatly received!

Looks a great place to stay. We really liked the Latin Quarter, just across the river

Have a look at the Louvre Kids website. It’s got some excellent stories about the art and it makes visiting there a lot more fun and interesting for kids.
The Tuileries Garden right next to the Louvre has a decent adventure playground, a carousel (north of the garden, near the Castiglione entrance) and trampolines (not sure if they’re there all year round though). Just over the road there’s an amazing patisserie called Angelina which does the most amazing hot chocolate and it’s an experience just to be there.
Petit Pan is a great shop for kids and there’s a branch in Le Marais. There’s also a cat cafe - Le Café des Chats!
It’s definitely worth spending half a day at Jardin d’Acclimation. There are loads of rides and attractions, plus a decent animal farm/petting zoo.

I'm going at half term with my teen daughter (also for three days and staying in Le Marais!) We have booked the Musee D'Orsay for one morning. Also planning on hot choc at Cafe Angelina. Shopping wise I think we will have a look around Galleries Lafayette which apparently has a really good rooftop view over Paris. I'm also looking for recommendations for restaurants!

Good restaurants: Pizza Popolare, La Felicita, Rooftop du Mama Shelter and Il Grano

We took our girls when they were the same age and we loved the Parc de La Villette and really enjoyed a boat trip on the Seine to see the sights.
