Madrid kid-friendly options?

Hi all,

I am looking for more options for a Madrid city break after making a great discovery I am sharing below. Anything involving the outdoors would be ideal. For family reasons I am there quite often.

My rec: I started off going on this company's food tours with my own family and have now got to know the owners quite well. Although Spaniards are lovely with kids, Madrid isn't always the easiest place to ferry them around, so the discovery that Walk and Eat have kid-friendly tapas tours was great. This includes play breaks, mosto tasting (that's grape juice to you and me) and a pace that doesn't overwhelm.

Great tip, my little boy would love that tour! Thanks 😊

We were here recently and it was absolutely brilliant: Riu Plaza Espana - there's a great play park in the square, it's right beside the metro, staff are great with kids and the breakfast is excellent. Not far from El Retiro Park too. All in, I'd really recommend it - in fact we're just about to book again!
