Non resort style holiday for single female traveller in the canaries?

I have a week’s annual leave to take by end March on my own 😱. I don’t want to travel anywhere with a significant time difference from the U.K. but would like some sun. Have been to Morocco and loved it previously but not sure I’d go alone so I assume canaries is the most obvious destination. I don’t like resort type hotels, do like small boutique hotels. I’d like to be able to wander round a nice town with some cultural stuff and have access to a beach. I’d like somewhere I could sit and read but don’t need a pool. Any recommendations for which island, which location or best of all boutique hotels in locations that might suit me? Budget at maybe £2k including flights. Happy to spend less but not looking for cheap and cheerful.

It was a while back but I liked Puerto de la Cruez on Tenerife. There are a number of nice hotels and various places to go on day trips as well as beaches.

Fuerteventura was my favourite island (have also been to Tenerife and Lanzarote but hated the black vulcanic sand beaches).

i would also recommend looking at the Greek islands. I absolutely LOVE Rhodes and we're going for the third time this year. It has gorgeous beaches and amazing culture plus great food
