Munich

I'm going to Munich for work at the end of February for 3 days. I only need to work for one day and the rest of the time is free.
What shall I do in Madrid? I love art galleries and museums, and shopping and exploring. Not so interested in restaurants. I cannot speak any German at all, unfortunately.
Thank you!

Pinakotheken for sure if you like art

deutsches Museum is a bit boring and more interesting with kids.

day trip to Neuschwanstein?

Lucky you. Munich is wonderful! I would buy one of those lovely Dorling Kindersley city guide books for a trip like that.

This is the official Munich tourism website. www.muenchen.de/en/tourism

To be honest, Neuschwanstein is a faff to get to and I didn't think it was worth it.

But Munich main railway station has trains going to loads of places.

Nuremberg is only just over an hour away, and has a railway museum, a branch of the German national museum, Albrecht Duerer's house and two Renaissance houses with exhibitions.

You can even go to Salzburg for a day.

@AllIwantforChristmas22 Pinakotheken looks brilliant! Thank you. I'd love to see the Cy Twombly exhibition, but I might be a day too late!
I will definitely add it to my itinerary!
