Have 5 days without children for DH and me to go to Seville in spring. Which area do we stay in? Any hotel recommendations?

I love Hotel Las Casas de la Judería in the Santa Cruz neighbourhood.

It’s a great historic city centre area, easy walking distance from the cathedral. It’s packed full of small bar/restaurants and lots of churches.

The hotel is beautiful and charming but the rooms are traditional in style and quite chintzy although I think the rest of the hotel makes up for that. There’s a pool on the roof too.

@MangosteenSoda Thank you very much I’ll take a look

We stayed at the Hotel Boutique Casa del Poeta, also in Santa Cruz. It was absolutely stunning, built around a secret Moorish courtyard. I can almost smell the orange blossom scent of it now….

Lovely food, perfect location, highly recommended.

We stayed in a fabulous AirBnb last February in the old town.

I've stayed here too! It's incredible isn't it? We didn't explore the hotel properly and I want to go back.

We stayed in the hotel zenit which was perfect. Lovely courtyard area

Stayed in a really nice air bnb.

Thats not much help to you but loved Seville so much, just wanted to say that

All the amazing little cafes and outdoor tapas places, with mist being sprayed to keep cool. Loved it.

We went to an a kind of hammam place whilst there which i loved.

Have booked to stay here in May ! Delighted to hear the positive review.

We stayed in Los Seises Sevilla in Santa Cruz. It has a great roof top bar and pool but often the tables are booked as it’s a great place for photos for the ‘Gram.

We went in 2019 and stayed in Apartamentos Torre de la Plata. Very clean and pleasant one bed apartment, very central, could walk to everything. Not posh but very comfortable

Another rec for Las casas de la Juderia.

I'm off to Cordoba and Granada next week yippee, and am staying in the Las Casas de la Juderia in Cordoba. It looks similar to Seville.

Haven't got a hotel in Granada yet, so if anyone has any recs for the best area to stay in that would be great. I might start another thread.

Enjoy your stay OP. Seville is gorgeous!

We stayed in Petit Palace last July - it was perfect. Very central, immaculate & breakfast was great!

Scabetty · 29/01/2023 18:08

I am going in February and staying in a hotel called Joya del Casco - quite central apparently. Can’t wait 😁

Fedupofdiets · 29/01/2023 18:16

I am also going end of Feb have never been before but love hearing your recommendations.

Brilliant! May is a wonderful time to be in Seville. If it’s your first time there don’t miss the local delicacy Tejas Dulces de Sevilla - wonderful little almond tuiles.

I stayed at the Hotel Becquer in May. Fabulous breakfast, pool on the roof, very helpful staff and everywhere was in walking distance. I cannot fault it.
