I'm looking for recommendations for a Riad walking distance to the Medina and main sites in Marrakesh.

Riad L'Aziza was my favourite. It is beautiful and peaceful. A little haven in the city.

Riad Andalla is in a fantastic location right next to Jemaa El-Fna and the owners when we went were so lovely (though that was about a decade ago).

Riad Jonan. It's a sweet little boutique place in a great location. Walking distance to everywhere and the staff were very personable and helpful. Great home cooking. Thoroughly recommend it. I went last year for a few days and it was just lovely.

I really enjoyed Riad Capaldi. I stayed in the Dome Room. It's in the Medina so very convenient and the staff are lovely. Great breakfast taken sitting on the rooftop terrace. I've also stayed at the Hotel Capaldi (same owners - Tara and Ed) quite a few times but that's 50 mins drive away near the Atlas Mountains (and no under 12s allowed).

Most of them will be amazing. The Medina is hard to navigate though, so you might want to ensure you're either near one of the gates - in which case taxi drivers will often walk you and fro from your riad when you want to go to specific places - or close to to Jemaa el Fnaa (aka the big square)

really lovely place with friendly owners. It’s in the Medina but not close to the square (but personally I wouldn’t want to be). They will provide a guide to walk you in and the walk itself is fascinating. Wherever you are in the Medina - you a going to get lost at some point! Would highly recommend dinner at Hotel Sultana on the roof terrace. Pricey but very special.

This is lovely. You can either hire rooms or the whole place. riadsmorocco.com/riad-marrakech/azzouna-13/

Thank you all for giving your suggestions. I will have a good look through and probably come back with some questions. Really looking forward to the trip.
