Passport application help! Supporting documents, child court order

Hi,

I'm applying for a passport renewal for my eldest. I have a court order showing his residence is with me and it has asked me to send this in as a supporting document. However, the court order is in my maiden name and I am now married. Bio father has no contact (his choice) and hasn't since 2013 but I obtained the order so he couldn't stop me from making day to day decisions (he was known to be spiteful).

Will this be a problem? I can't send my marriage certificate as I've already sent it to update my own passport and haven't received it back yet! Holiday is the first week of April so I thought I had plenty of time (just had my passport back in 10 days) but I'm worried this may delay things.

Any advice greatly received!

Hi, I know this is from a couple of months ago but I've just posted about a similar issue I'm having with supporting documents needed for my child's application. How long did it take in the end to get back your docs? Did this delay your application for your son by very much? Thanks.

@Flamingowild hiya, I wrote a note explaining all the above and quoting my passport reference. I received my marriage certificate about 2 weeks after the passport. There was no issue with DS's application in the end but his did take a little longer than mine, I think because lots of people applied before the price hike. I have everything back now though for all passports :)

Could you use your birth certificate as ID?
