Trip to Karakow, recommendations please

Hi, my husband and I are off to Krakow for a few days in February, please can you recommend restaurants, places to visit, must see etc...

We’re planning a trip too - no doubt you have the following on your list:

Wieliczka salt mines
Rynek underground museum
St Mary’s Basilica
Cloth Hall
Wawel Castle
The Barbican, Florian’s Gate and the city walls
Jagiellonian University Museum
Czartoryski Museum
Schindler Museum and MOCAK
Jewish Quarter and Ghetto Heroes Square

Don’t think we’d visit Auschwitz though.

Might be a silly question but what will the weather and temperature be like? Thermals and big coats?

It’ll be freezing. I felt that Auschwitz in the snow was even more sobering than at other times.

The weather is pretty cold over there (I knew this before I booked)

There is a free walking tour of the Jewish district that is really worth going on (have been twice and went on this both times). It will take you through areas that you might not go to otherwise, as it’s a bit of a walk from the main square and the tourist attractions around that area.

About 4/5 days. I’d also look at a day or two up in the mountains for a longer trip.
