Thailand with older teenagers

We are planning on a trip to Thailand with two DDs aged 16 and 18, for just over two weeks in July / August. Does anyone have any hints or tips on an itinerary or fun things to do, please.

Be careful where in Thailand you go July/August due to the weather.

However, I've been during August a couple of times and only had rain a couple of days.😎

With 2 teenage daughters I would suggest looking at a few days in Bangkok and possibly a couple of days in Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai and especially if they like elephants. I would then head for a beach resort such as either Hua Hin - 3 hours drive south of Bangkok - alternatively Somewhere like Bophut on Koh Samui - short flight. Both great beach resorts with plenty to see and do as well as terrific hotels and restaurants. Weather should be pretty much ok here too. Very rainy around Phuket/Krabi and avoid Pattaya as that is "Girly central."

Very envious as I was last in Thailand 2016 - been loads of times. Can I make myself available for bag carrying please? 😊
