Weekend break in Europe in mid Nov

whatsup44 · 23/01/2023 17:38

Planning a weekend away for DH for his special birthday. only want 2 or 3 nights due to children.

Any suggestions on good places to visit that time of year. Only ever been to bog standard city breaks before (Paris, Barcelona, Venice, Amsterdam)

So really open to suggestions.

Thanks

Where are you flying from?

If you want a bit of sunshine then maybe head to somewhere like Seville, Palermo, Naples? Loads of lovely cities in Southern Europe would still feel fairly warm compared to the UK. Or perhaps somewhere like Marrakech? Alternatively go somewhere that might feel wintry and Christmassy - depending on the exact dates, Vienna, Prague, Budapest might work for Christmas markets/more of a cosy winter break.

EasyJet do flights from Bristol to Gibraltar. Only a 2.5 hour flight, perfect for a few days of sun.

We went to Iceland in mid Nov for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. Definitely recommended!

Rome! I went in January and it was much quieter. Hopefully November will be similar, with nice weather.
