AI with teens

I'm hoping the mumsnet hive mind might be able to help as I'm starting to think that what I'm looking for doesn't exist.

Me, Dh and 2 teen boys, 17 and 14 - love swimming but not too fussed about water sports / organised activities. AI, but with a town / bit of culture nearby (don't want to hire a car). We're all foodies so the AI needs to be good with local food options, not a lukewarm brits abroad buffet. Ideally an apartment or adjoining family room setup so we're together but still with a bit of privacy.

We went to Crete with Jet2 last year and had the ideal setup - an adjoining family room in an annex with our own front door, shared bathroom but a door between the bedrooms, short walk to the beach, a few nice walks from the resort and really good food.

Ideally I just want to replicate this somewhere else - would consider anywhere in Europe including a different part of Greece.

Budget 4k ish for 7 days in July. We break up for the summer hols on July 14th.

Any suggestions?

Sherwood Greenwood Resort in Turkey had that set up. It’s in a little town called Goynuk which is lovely and has lots to do. When we went, it had 3 restaurants (2 of which were a la carte).

I'll take a look - hadn't considered Turkey (Dh had a terrible holiday there years ago which put him off) but I'm not ruling anything out.

Hi @mamaduckbone sorry I can't help with your suggestion but can you tell me where you went last year as that sounds great. Thanks.

Blue Bay resort in Agia Pelagia. The only downside was Agia Pelagia itself wasn't very pleasant, but we enjoyed everything else. It was our first ever AI holiday though, so wouldn't have a clue how it compares.

Palmoma hotels in turkey, food and vibe great. They also have their own farms so the wine etc is organic!

Thanks very much @mamaduckbone

Lots of decent AI hotels in Costa Adeje Tenerife. We had a great time there with teens 17, 18 and 19. Siam Park is a fab water parc on the edge of town and the reason we went back again the following year.

Second this. We always holidayed in different places and this year will be our 5th year of going there. Loads to do and perfect for teens.
