Thinking of going on a cruise. Is there such thing as a last minute one??

Yes. I've been on a few. Sites like iglu are a good bet

There are but cruise customers traditionally book much further in advance than other types of holiday - so don't be surprised if you can't get the cabin location you want etc. Also if travelling with kids a couple of cruise lines limit the amount of children on board so very little chance of last minute (not all cruise lines do this)

We cruise with P&O when cruises usually disappear as sold out 14 days before. They’ve just last month taken a new ship called Arvia, so there may be good deals on the other ships in the group as they need to fill them up.

Thank you all for your replies, they're really helpful. Yes travelling with children. Will look at booking in advance then

We have booked as late as the day before!
But it really limits your choice.
Cruise critic forum is a great source of info.
We have done 14 now, but by booking last minute once had cabins at opposite ends of the ship, it was good though, great holidays but can be expensive, plan each stop and see if you can do the organised trips on your own
