We’re 2 adults and 3dc but old enough to be in a separate room. Looking at AI, beach holidays and honestly I’ve no idea what I’m looking at anymore.

must haves:
good food reviews
near sandy beach (lovely to swim in so not lots of sea weed etc)
nice big pool

Ideally:
nice promenade or small town
not hideously busy (it’s August so I presume not really an option)

so far we’ve looked at:
lanzarote - Playa Blanca
Greece (beaches often rocky?)
sardinia
sicily
Majorca
menorca
ibiza

But cannot decide because they give so little detail. Any suggestions? Aiming for as close to 5k as possible (not over 6k).

Turquoise Hotel in Oludeniz (Turkey) would be within budget and meet most of your requirements. The beach is heavenly and the blue lagoon is even better!

I think most AI places charge adult prices for over 13s, so I do feel you are looking for rocking horse pop for 5 adults AI in August for 5-6k and wanting it to be good

Not sure if waiting for a last min deal if your fixed on that budget

I have been looking for same holiday lately but for 2A and 2 youngster children and def looking at 6-7k including a free child place

I would maybe bypass AI and maybe look at the Algarve perhaps a private let in Alvor maybe look at Vila Da Praia, Carvoeiro Monte Dourado again private let or maybe Jet2 Falesia Mar not AI its not the plushest of places but gorgeous views, a nice beach down below, fab breakfast buffets, nice bar snacks available at lunch time or you can make sandwiches or do omelettes at lunch in your apartment, various childrens games and activities throughout the day but not too mad, a small town, several bars and eateries.

I went to puerto del carmen in lanzarote. stayed at suite hotel fariones playa. Lovely 5 star hotel close to the beach, beach is lovely, long strip of bars restaurants to walk along and we went on a bike ride along the front during sunset was beautiful! Would highly recommend and we booked on jet 2. There's a lovely pool but it's not a kids pool or anything so not sure if it would suit. Anyway thought I'd share as I've been to various places on canary island and this was by far my favourite trip x

We did TUI magic life in fuerterentura, meets your criteria but no idea how busy it would be in august

NeedAHoliday2021 · 16/01/2023 09:56

@gogohmm we did magic life there too last year and it was fab. We’re tempted to go back but I’d like a nearby town this time.

There’s loads of 5* AI for under £6k for the person saying we need to up our budget. There’s basically too much choice.

Majorca would fit your bill… Calle d’or, Alcudia, Puerto Pollensa. Alcudia and PP old towns are lovely
