My Cousin and his new bride are coming by eurostar from Paris (they are both french by birth). They arrive in St. Pancras on Saturday and I told them I would show them around..museums..pubs..English culture really in London the day they arrive. However I have 7 months old and would be taking pushchair with me (she's too heavy for me to carry around in a sling). Any recommendations as to where I can take them around with my dd? I thought maybe take them to Charing cross first (and leave some luggage of theirs at the station..so we could go back at night via southeastern train easy to my house), and take them to national gallery (very near) and eat at chinatown and come home basically. Do you think that this schedule sounds boring? And can one go into museum with 7 months old? They hardly have any vacation from work, and I want them to have lots of fun in London. I mean I don't know any good pubs near charing cross...any good fish and chip place?? Any really good English culturish fun thing to do...? DYING for good ideas...please..

London Eye is always a winner. You'll have to fold the buggy up though to get on it, but that's no bother. Lots of room inside though to sit down and take in the sights.

Could then walk along the river to Tate Modern - lots of space for buggy etc - and have lunch on the top floor cafe. River boat back to Tate Britain on Millbank passing Big Ben etc.

Some interesting pubs in the area too.

River trip to Greenwich from Westminster - you could do the whole pub/fish'n'chips thing there as well. Wrap up warm though.

Have done this sort of thing quite a bit with American friends and family. You can definitely take babies into most museums.

Portobello Road market would be good on a Saturday.

In my experience rather than packing in as many touristy things as possible it's nicer to hang out a bit in nice pubs or cafes.

But if they are really keen to see the sights then the double decker open topped bus is a good way to tick stuff off the list.

Near charing cross, a good place to go with children is The London Aquarium (near county hall) between Waterloo and Westminster Bridge. Very baby/buggy friendly. There are lots of eateries nearby, lilke Pizza Express and Giraffe. Covent Garden is nice to wander around, nice quaint shops with little places to sit down and eat.
