Nile cruise with kids

Has anyone done this? DC have asked to do one, but always thought it was aimed at the mature market. Any experiences, tips & booking advice greatly received.

I did one about 15 years ago with a friend and it was all adults on board the one we were on. We were in our 20s and were the youngest on it by far! I’m not sure if they are still the same now but they cram a lot in so there were lots of early mornings and out onto coaches to go sightseeing. It is an incredible experience so depending on the ages of your kids might be worth waiting until they are a bit older but there might be family friendly ones with kids clubs etc now. Also if you want to see the pyramids and sphinx they are in a different part of the country to where the Nile cruises are, we did a day trip with a very early flight and late back but it was amazing!
