We’ve not been abroad for a few years, previously we were lucky enough to drive to Spain and stay in a family property and mainly we stay in the UK. Teen is desperate to go abroad this year but with two autistic siblings we aren’t sure they’ll cope getting on a plane and in a resort but we’re not discounting it.

We’ve started looking at villas but these alone seem so expensive (at least 4k) for Spain. Am I looking at the wrong time? Are holidays usually this pricey?

A villa for five in school holidays? Yes they're expensive. How much per pax pn? Often makes it look more reasonable.

We are going to Mallorca AI for 14 nights in august, 2 adults 2 kids, 6.2k.

Villas are generally fairly pricy. You can obviously go abroad for a lot less but depends what your families requirements are.

we have paid £1800 for b&b, in a quiet hotel, on a greek island. Includes flights, transfers and two rooms as DC are older teens. It suits us, but wouldn’t be for everyone.
