Washington DC - Hotel or Airbnb?

Hello! We are thinking of spending 4 days in Washington DC this coming Summer with 2 teenagers. We'd like to be fairly central and in a nice place, but equally conscious that 2 hotel rooms will cost an arm and a leg. Does anyone have any recommendations and/or thoughts about Airbnb in DC? Thanks in advance.

I’m going in February for 5 nights and have booked Embassy suites near the convention centre I think. It’s $1600ish for a two queen bedded room with sofa bed in sitting room and kitchenette. You’ll probably find somewhere cheaper but we wanted an indoor pool for a quick evening swim. For trips like that we usually all share 1 room but DH snores terribly so we need him separate from us.

Thanks @APMom6 i will take a look. A pool is a great idea at what will be a hot time of year.

Embassy suites at 1250 22nd Street NW is recommended by me. They also do breakfast as part of the room rate.

@Radiatorvalves lots of hotels have outdoor pools but we’re stuck with the few that have indoor ones as the outdoor ones don’t open in winter. My sister often stays in Royal Sonesta and said it’s lovely but doesn’t suit our needs.

Thanks again. C
