7 - 10 days Easter Holiday

If there were no restrictions on location where would you go with family of 4 with 2 late teens in April??

I'm trying to avoid booking a holiday that is sitting around the pool for 10 days in a large faceless hotel....

I want to try something different this year (with a bit of pool) but in a location that offers trips out of the hotel to sightsee somewhere interesting.

Happy to look at interesting City breaks too, I really need some inspiration.

San Diego or Florida

The Netherlands. Hire bikes, tour around. The south east has great, windy, beaches, Rotterdam, The Hague, Delft etc. A day up to Amsterdam. The weather would be similar to here.

Dubrovnik? Lovely city and fascinating history but great hotels just outside the city, (10-15 minute bus ride) with Adriatic frontage and superb swimming!
Game of Thrones was filmed in very scenic parts of the old city. You can climb up onto the old city walls. (And see the recent bomb and gunfire damage from the 1990s when the city was shelled.)

Also many boat trips to see various islands in the Adriatic.
