Taxis to airport with baby?

Probably a stupid question but what do you normally do about car seats if you need to take a taxi to the airport with a baby? Take your own car seat and ask the taxi company to bring it when they collect you? Try to find a taxi company with car seat? Rang one local company who suggested we have baby on our lap for 2 hrs to Heathrow which sounds crazy dangerous so won’t be going with them. Won’t be taking our car seat for the trip as a family member has a good one.

Some taxi companies you can request a car seat, it sounds like you want to search for one of those.

It is legal to have your baby on your lap in the taxi but I never felt right doing it either!

Following with interest. Have the same anxiety as we’re off to Turkey next year with toddler DS and what will be a 12 week old. Baby on lap for flight but worried about taxi.

Take your own car! Use your own safety seats.

Ours allow us to use our own car seat and then store it for us free of charge until we come back. They then bring it when they collect us upon return :)
