Luxury resorts that aren't Sani and Ikos

In Europe?

Sani is coming up as anything between 12-17k. Ikos not far behind and also five figures.

We are looking for the first week of July.

Kids 6,4,1.

Club Med, Martinhal, Grecotel, Hard Rock, Sensatori

Do Sensatori allow kids? But yeah, the other suggestions are spot on. Just go on Tui and pick something that comes in with 4-5 stars on both its own rating and trip advisor rating. There's no way you should be looking at upwards of 12K for a week!

Club med, Martinhal

It depends on how luxury you’re speaking. You won’t find Ikos standards for much less in peak. 5 star turkey probably a bit cheaper though.

I’ve seen the following recommended as cheaper alternatives

  • domes
  • daios cove
  • marbella group
  • mitsis

no idea what they’re like but I’m on a similar holiday hunt to you.

We've done Ikos for the first time this year, it was amazing. But it cost £3.5k for a deluxe room for two adults and a teen in October.

Though I booked two rooms in July 2021 for £6k (effectively four adults as teens charged at full rate) so it might be doable if you keep an eye out for their promotions.

Danai resort in Halkidiki is great. It’s a small, intimate family owned hotel and it’s wonderful.

Six senses in Turkey is also very good.
