How much disruption will there be in London 1st to 5th May?

Planning a few days away for my birthday and realised the dates are very close to the coronation.

Will it be dreadful due to security measures being put in place and people arriving to camp out?

Depends what you want to do - as long as you avoid the Westminster area I suspect it will be fine. I live and work in London and its never really an issue, except when I worked in Westminster and the road would be closed, but the tube isn't impacted by that and walking is easy.

Well no, as people live and work in London round all major events. As PP said, avoid Westminster and the Mall etc.
