Hi all,
I'm planning a holiday for my family (dh, me, dc18, dc13 (has autism, needs extra help) and dc2.
It'll be towards the end of the school summer holidays (August ish) I'm thinking Turkey as I'm Muslim and we only eat halal, plus I don't want to feel self conscious in my hijab (headscarf).

Requirements-
About 100m from shops and restaurants, close enough that we can wander out on foot without having to organise.

Preferably beachfront
Interconnecting family rooms.
All inclusive/Airport transfers
Water park
Kids pool
Kids classes
Light coloured rooms
MAX £1500 per person. Preferably cheaper! (Obviously)

If you're kind enough to reply, please give details as I'm not well travelled so probably won't know what you're on about 🤣

I think your best bet is to book a package holiday - Tui for example have travel agent shops where you can sit down with someone and discuss your requirements. They also offer free child places on package holidays but you'd have to get in soon. Turkey is very popular so I'm sure you'll find something to fit your budget but the summer holidays are the most expensive time to holiday abroad.

If you're confident using the internet, you can book a package online -lots of providers; Tui, Jet2, Onthebeach, EasyJet holidays. Be aware that with some providers you may not get full Atol protection however.

Agree with PP. Package holiday would best suit your needs.
Compare the prices btween providers. I know with jet2 and Tui are definitely ATOL protected. Our last holiday was with Jet2 and it was really good.
Hope you find something x

Thank you for the replies.
Ah, I should have said I'm looking for a package holiday!! I've used tui before, have had a look on jet2 but their prices seem steeper than tui. I assumed they'd be cheaper.
I'm looking for resort names tbh, then i can check reviews etc. Personal experiences? I'm aware it's a long list and would have to compromise on some of it.

I've not actually been to Turkey so I can't recommend anywhere.
Are you open to going anywhere else in Europe?

Anywhere in Europe or North Africa (can't do a long haul with the dc) I just don't want to be gawped at with a hijab. And I want to eat anything that takes my fancy!

Sorry I have never been to Turkey but I know a Muslim friend looks on ‘halal booking’ for hotels that offer suitable food, no alcohol hotels and suitable options for swimming.
Perhaps not exactly what you are looking for but just on the off chance you don’t know about it.

Thank you, that's very thoughtful of you. Will have a browse of that website
