the secret bunker is in fife

not been but apparently boys love it!

I personally don't think Deep sea world is worth the money!

The museum of childhood on the Royal Mile is good as well.
You could take them to the beach in Fife - Anstruther, St Andrews etc all have good beaches

The adventure centre at Ratho - climbing wall, sky walk

saltire · 05/02/2008 09:37

Oh yes, the Secret Bunker is great. The DSes loved it, especially DS2 who thought it was great fun being in tunnels that he could get lost in

nailpolish · 05/02/2008 09:39

perth leisure pool is good - also the pool at leven is good too - the ones kirkcaldy and glenrothes are utter shite

nailpolish · 05/02/2008 09:40

kinnoull hill is the best place for a walk in a nice day - i seriously lvoe it

fartmeistergeneral · 05/02/2008 09:59

thanks for all these - had forgotten about the secret bunker - I loved that when I went years ago, but freaked me out somewhat. My ds1 would love the idea of that.

Ratho is fab, but a nightmare to get booked onto. I phoned 2 weeks ago to book ds2 (adventurous little kid) onto the pebbles class, and they were full til the end of March!!!!!!!

what about murrayfield ice rink

saltire · 05/02/2008 10:01

Also second nialy's idea about teh Castle. The Dses love it. of course we only used to pay part cost, DH always got in for free with his Forces ID card!
It is expensive, but you can spend hours there

nailpolish · 05/02/2008 10:03

it is expensive yes

take your own food - i find going to the cafe etc at any tourist attraction place really is daylight robbery.
