Is the states (specifically Florida not Orlando) just really expensive now?

looking at Florida keys and Miami in March and there’s no hotels under £200 a night and they don’t look great….

Hurricane Ian hit just south of Fort Myers.. Sanibel/Captiva islands are very badly affected and although the road bridge is back it won't be the place it was. There were tornados up the west coast/Orlando but as PP said it's not hurricane season now.

Was in LA in august and we had a round of drinks and some tapas £250

it’s been off the wall expensive the last few times I’ve been we go to Az offer as DB lives there. Doesn’t help they are quite rich and we aren’t.

We’re meeting my Brother in FL for a week in May and the villa should be $10,000 for the week. Luckily it’s SIL brothers so we are getting it gratis.

It must have been a very expensive place - that's not normal. We were in California in October and like everywhere else it depends on where you go. Cocktails were mostly 10 - 15 dollars . I do agree though that California is one of the most expensive States.

Must be a lovely one on the beach for that price.
