What resort am I describing

Somewhere within 3.5hrs of UK

No more than 1 hour transfer (private)

Hotel possible with half board but definitely one bedroom apartment style rooms. (Essentially a door between bedroom and sofa bed.)

Resort has lots of day trip / activity options such as a marina, water park or easy access to nearby city for exploring.

Excuse the spellings but all these resorts have been mentioned for lanzarote- which would best fit my criteria ?

Is that a general issue or were you unlucky?

I'd look at Ibiza or Martinhal sagres.

Hated Sani. Very chavvy. Too many sunburnt Brits with loud designer bags, nothing tasteful. Inflated lips and string bikinis up their butts. Just hideous

Dalaman for the airport and any of the resort's. Malta, the Algarve. Malaga, Gibraltar Dubrovnik

Tossa De Mar - amazing!!

Alcudia in Majorca. Alcudia has a lovely old town to explore and a pretty marina with nice restaurants. Under an hour transfer. Zafiro Hotels are great...there are two in Alcudia

Have not had a problem with mosquitoes in Majorca...one or two bites but that's it

Playa Blanca has access to water park, marina and day trips. Not really sure there is a city as such though.

Another idea could be Paphos in Cyprus.

Lanzarote. Loads to see & do esp if you hire a car.

Prob top two but island is tiny anyway

Lagos, Algarve, Portugal.

Playa Blanca Lanzarote fulfils all your criteria but it's a 4hr flight.

Puerto Azul in Puerto Pollensa, Majorca.
We have been a couple of times but it was some time ago. It was perfect with young children under 10.

Costa Teguise is around 45 min from airport. Has a small water park but the bigger water park is very reachable on a coach trip. 2 markets a week with lots of places to eat. No marina but right next to the beach with beach side restaurants. The capital of Lanzarote is not far away. An easy bus ride.

Much as I love Lanzarote it's a good 4 hour flight.
Transfers are short though.

Magic natura in benidorm.

All inc with little chalet style rooms. On site zoo and water park included in the all inc.

Just outside benidorm and easy to get into town if you want.

Transfer was about 45 mins

Cavtat, Croatia. Near to Dubrovnik for the airport and culture. Lots of water sports.

They are attracted to me but honestly, it's like nothing I've had before. I travel a lot. I had around 50 bites, I sent photos to family and they'd also had problems in Majorca and Menorca. Lovely place but I wouldn't go back
