April - Brussels, Amsterdam or Pais by Eurostar?

If you had the choice of these 3 cities (travelling by Eurostar), which would you pick & why?

I've been to Paris so perhaps would prefer the other two.

Is there anything/much to see in Brussels?

Would any one city be best for 15 year old dd?

Thanks.

Definitely Amsterdam and get a coach trip out to the Kuekenhof (although it’s at its best in the second half of April). There’s loads to do that might interest a 15yo:
Diamond factory tour
Nxt museum
Amaze
Tea at the smallest house
Anne Frank’s House
Pancake boat canal cruise
This is Holland
Moco museum

Another vote for Amsterdam here. Didn't warm to Paris myself, Brussels does have a lot to offer but Amsterdam the best of the three. To PP I'd add the Maritime Museum and a trip over to Amsterdam Noord/North (free ferries from behind the central station) where you can go to the top of the A'dam Tower (massive swing on the roof).

Out of those three Brussels for me but prefer Bruges if that is an option.

Amsterdam has so much to see. I’d add Antwerp to the mix.

I've been to all 3 with kids. Definitely Amsterdam for 15 year old. My favourite is Paris but not necessarily for a teen. I was underwhelmed by Brussels (however, it was a national holiday weekend so perhaps unfair).

Oh, I'm torn now between Amsterdam & Brussels 😆

Done both definitely Amsterdam no brainer - just beautiful

I live in Brussels and would recommend Amsterdam! It's a great city with plenty to do, easy to find your way around. Brussels is nice but... less "wow" than Amsterdam.

RampantIvy · 08/01/2023 08:10

I agree that Bruges is wonderful. Change in Brussels.

Is Eurostar a victim of the train strikes as well?

LionsandLambs · 08/01/2023 08:15

Amsterdam, it’s gorgeous and lots of fun things to do, shopping is also good. Bruge (suggested here) is pretty but not much to interest a teenager.

TheaBrandt · 08/01/2023 08:24

Bruges is pretty but tiny and not a huge amount to do. My teen dds loved Amsterdam plus it’s not as huge as Brussels / paris which makes for an easier trip

MissAmbrosia · 08/01/2023 11:45

I live in Brussels and I'd probably go for Amsterdam too. How long is your trip?

Soproudoflionesses · 08/01/2023 11:59

My 9 year old loved Amsterdam

CallieQ · 08/01/2023 12:02

I would go Amsterdam

Iflyaway · 08/01/2023 12:03

where you can go to the top of the A'dam Tower (massive swing on the roof).

It costs 13 Euros just to get up there.....!

Whatliesbeneath707 · 08/01/2023 13:08

It sounds like Amsterdam is the favourite & it probably explains why it's more expensive too! Thanks for the great suggestions.
