V nice places to stay on Costa Del Sol

We are looking to visit the Costa del Sol next summer and looking between Marbella and Malaga. We don't mind going inland.

We are looking for a really nice place to stay e.g. Villa, a pretty town, great food and not somewhere noisy or boisterous.

Any recommendations?

It’s not between Malaga and Marbella, but Estepona is gorgeous

Gaucin! Up in the hills above Estepona, but lovely white village with stunning views.

Another vote for Estepona. I haven’t been for a few years but last time I was there, we stayed in Villacana which was lovely.

Estepona isn’t on the train line from Malaga to Benalmadena though so if you want days out it’s a bit more difficult if you’re not getting a car. Benalmadena pueblo is lovely - completely different to the coast (which isn’t awful, I was snobby about it but have now been back multiple times!)

Yes to Gaucin, lovely pueblo blanco in the hills. Stayed there on our honeymoon. You need a car tho.

Another vote for Estepona, although I'd recommend to stay in the old town not the port area.

Although fair point about transport, it was a lot easier when we hired a car for the second week of our holiday last summer.

Oh, and the food is AMAZING I was so impressed by the foodie offering. Very unexpected

Hello, we have just arrived in Estepona from the recommendations on this thread! Now what shall we do? We have a hire car and we’re here for 3 days/ 4 nights. 2 adults, no kids 😊

@Mindgone No, not if it’s not warm enough for the beach. Ronda is much more stunning.
