Single mum and two kids

Hi
can anyone recommend where is good to go with my two children in the summer? (age 18 - boy & 12 - girl). Will just be me and them. Happy for suggestions abroad or in uk. I looked a centre parks but don’t think it’s worth the price £1200 for four nights self catering. The kids don’t really like sitting around the pool all day so somewhere in uk or abroad with things to do during the day

Have you considered a city break? Lots of options in Europe for a 3/4 night break and you can either fill your days with things to do, or mix in a bit of relaxing if you choose a hotel with its own pool.

Germany would be a good option, I find it friendly, reasonably priced and lots of historic places plus beautiful scenery

Palma, short flight. City by the beach. Nice bars and restaurants and feels safe

Try seal Bay in bognor regis. It's beautiful. Loads for kids of every age

What do you / they like doing?
Mine are similar ages and I'm also a single mum.
Recent years we've been to Slovenia (fly, then bus/train staying in b+b or backpacker places).
North York Moors/Coast - camping, caravan rental, cottage? Lots of walks, bike rides, surfing lesson, steam railways, day in York.....
Fort William - as above for accomodation. Climb Ben Nevis, lots of outdoor activities.
Friend's had a week on Skye added on.

Duinrell in Holland. Fab place! It has a huge waterpark and theme park attached. We took our two at similar ages and they still go on about returning six years later!
It's about half hour from Amsterdam airport (we got a taxi). Lots to do in the area.
