Sun holidays abroad/ or centre parcs Europe

Hiya
Has anyone done a sun holidays abroad? We have done a few of their caravan holidays with the kids over the years but never abroad. This year we can’t stretch to a decent TUI style holiday abroad (four kids - one a baby but would be over two come the summer) but was wondering whether their holidays in France etc are any good? Not keen on a static caravan in the heat with no air conditioning and four kids if that’s the case (would rather stay in UK) so just wondering what peoples experiences are please.

Alternative option we were looking at would be centre parcs abroad if anyone has any advice here?

thanks :)

Love Centre Parcs in Holland. Het Heiderbos is a great one 👍

Absolutely love centerparcs in Holland as a pp mentioned. We have been to kempervennen and der eemhof. Eemhof was amazing for kids under about 10, kempervennen has a mix of stuff for little ones and teenagers. Swimming pools at both are absolutely amazing. If you are careful about what you buy, rhe shops on site don't have to be hugley expensive, however we also hired a car so coukd use a local supermarket too. They do breakfast deliveeries which for us were enough for lunch as well, so worked out as amazing value

Sorry, i also meant to add that we have stayed at a centerparcs in France (nature village near disney) and while the facilities were great, the customer service and 'feel' was a bit lacking, whereas in holland we have always felt very looked after. They have a whatsapp number to contact them, even before arrival and are so helpful. Play around with dates to get the best deals - we travelled at the very end of august last year, getting back here for the start of term and because dutch schools had gone back we got a bargain.

Look at pierre et vacances, so many options for all budgets. I recommend Normandy or Brittany if you are concerned about heat

CP in Belgium and the Netherlands are great - and much cheaper than UK. Also look at Landal.com, roompot.com and Duinrell. I wouldn't discount the static caravan - you can get 3 bed, 2 bath models with all mod cons / aircon and decking where you can mostly live outside all day. Or something like www.brittanygites.com/outdoors/gardens/ where there will other kids to play with but a "proper" house.

We went to Port Zeeland centre parc in the Netherlands last year, we got the ferry from Harwich and then it was a car drive of about 50 minutes, if you are happy driving in Europe.

We stayed in an air conditioned chalet on a French holiday park last year. We had amazing weather. The weather in the Netherlands can be hit or miss in the summer holidays so don't bank on ☀️☀️☀️

Thank you :) x

Hi guys sorry to be a pain. Just looking at kempervennen. Bit confused by Eden cottage versus comfort versus VIP versus Eden VIP lol any recommendations? X

I think the Eden VIP have a sauna. Normally VIP and Premium you get the beds made for you - and VIP they bring you bread in the morning / breakfast pack.
