Any suggestions for Easter half term? Want guaranteed sunshine, child friendly of course, directly on a sandy beach. Max flight time 8-9 hours (direct) and not Dubai.
was thinking of Mexico, any resort recommendations? Or other countries that could be nice in April?
children are small and not (yet) into watersports etc. they need a pool, beach and some entertainment/kids club.

Canaries are the nearest place to the U.K. with almost guaranteed sunshine. Next nearest, probably Sharm-el-Sheikh.

Presumably you mean the Easter holidays, not "half term"... (ie week in late February for Spring term and week in late May for summer term).

How about Cape Verde?
There isn’t a lot to do (although we were never bored) but if your DC just want a beach, pool and entertainment it might fit the bill.
There are some very large not so great hotels there but we stayed at the Melia Tortuga and really enjoyed it

@Tuilpmouse yes Easter holidays not February half term. Don’t fancy Egypt (too many horror stories of kids with food poisoning including my niece).

thanks @Hoppinggreen will look at Cape Verde. Sandy beaches? I don’t mind about not much to do, we just need a beach, pool and sunshine and a bit of kids entertainment. Don’t want to do sightseeing or shopping etc.

@Hoppinggreen I just looked at the Melia Tortuga and TUI have an amazing deal. Can you tell me a bit more about food/kids club and sea? Did you do any snorkelling?
is it warm enough in April to swim in sea? Thanks so much it looks great
