Family holiday in Crete - villa in resort?

Can anyone recommend anywhere that fits this brief?

My DH and I are hoping to go somewhere in Crete for a week with my mum and our five year old, so we're looking for:

  • A villa or apartment in a resort (so we have the hotel amenities)
  • Three bedrooms or at least three separate sleeping areas
  • Private pool not essential but big kid-friendly shared pool would be great
  • Entertainment and ideally a kids club
  • Near to good restaurants, beaches etc

Does this exist?!

Have a look at Domes of Elounda. If that’s not quite what you’re looking for, then I know that Lyttos Beach definitely has what you’re looking for and the Casa Marina family apartments at Grecotel Marina Palace will probably be suitable.

Thanks so much for these suggestions!

We took our then 2 year old to Stella Palace in crete this summer and we all loved it! We stayed in an apartment but they have villas with private swim-up pools available. The restuarants were really good and there were several communal pools. One pool was sloped to get in so my toddler could splash about without us having to hold him constantly, they had a splash pool with pirate ship, water park with flumes of various sizes and a playground, kids club and mini disco.
Beach wasn't amazing but did the job!

Domes of Elounda is exceptional and if you have a villa you get included dine around half board and access to the Haute Lounge which provides food and drinks all day so effectively all inclusive. The downside is that it’s set on a hillside and is a big site so lots of walking or waiting for golf carts to take you between villa and restaurants/ beach etc

Both of those look amazing. Thank you

We went to Stella a few years ago (can’t remember if Palace, Village or the other one) and loved it.
