Where in Majorca?

Looking to go to Majorca in June with two teens. One introverted and likes a quiet life and one outgoing who's into water parks.
Where would you suggest?

We went to sa coma last year and thought it was too quite. We had an 11month old with us and stuggled with things to do/see. We have booked Palma nova this year. What about sol Kathmandu?

As Coma etc nice but the Water park up that end is not great. Somewhere nearer Palma would be better for stuff to do

Port de pollensa has easy access to alcudia which has lots of actions and water park etc

Anyone been to Cala d'or?
I'm leaning towards Palma Nova for the DC however Cala d'or looks lovely although maybe a bit quiet?

Any thoughts on Santa Ponsa?
Possibly a little touristy?

Alcudia could be good. A bit concerned about potential transfer time from Palma although I don't suppose Cala d'or would be much shorter.
I've also googled and apparently warmer in the south of the island?

There no real temperature difference to speak of, it’s a tiny island. Palma Nova, Santa Ponsa or Alcudia suit your brief best. Alcudia is about an hour from the airport, longer on a shared transfer bus. They are all quite touristy and British but you can do day trips to more authentic places if you need a compromise.

We enjoyed Cala dor it was lovely bur quiet though our teens at the time weren't too fussed about waterparks though .

I’ve done most of Majorca and Cala D’or is on the quieter side.

I would say around Alcudia/ Puerto Pollensa would be your best bet.

tocahairchop · 30/12/2022 17:13

There won't be any difference temperature wise as it's a small island. Alcudia has lots to do but like I mentioned the water park up there is not great and pretty pricey. I've never been to Palma nova/Santa ponsa but they might be a better fit for teens as there will be lots more to do around the Palma area

TheSnowWillGoOn · 30/12/2022 17:32

We stayed in Alcudia, the transfer is easy, beach is lovely but the water park up that end of the island is dated and not exciting enough for teens. We ended up doing day trips back down the island so next time we'll be looking around Palma Nova instead.
