Thailand - Chiang Mai or Khao Sok National Park

I’ve spent months trying to decide on my itinerary for our holiday in July with dh and dd who is 15.

Finally decided on 2 nts Bangkok, 2 nts at the beach near Phuket airport to chill, 2 nts at Elephant Hills in Khao Sok National Park. Then the rest of the time in Koh Samui.

But Elephant Hills and anywhere else in that area is so expensive. 1 night in the rainforest then 1 night in a floating raft house is £1200. Including all transfers, activities and food. Reviews are amazing but Its a lot of money. And perhaps Chiang Mai would be better for us.

has anyone done both that could help me please?

I’d check the weather averages for July and see which one is better for July.

Not sure what you’ve decided but there’s a great offer on for elephant hills at chiang mai at the moment which makes is much more affordable, that made the decision for us, and can mix with the experience of chiang mai too, hotel prices there are lower too
