Long haul guaranteed best weather

Looking for 2 weeks early July , back before schools break up.
Where can we go that's pretty much guaranteed hot sunny weather.
Not looking at Europe. I'm a little unsure reading about Asia & the Caribbean as it seems like the off /wet season.
We like a mix of places to wander round and see, but also some rest and lounging on a lovely beach with warm water to swim in. Not interested in shopping or hitting the tourist trails.
Any ideas you well travelled lot?

@AllIwantforChristmas22
We went to an adult only hotel in Sal so can't comment on children's facilities I'm afraid. We went out on organised trips run by a local guy and also got local taxis into town with no problems. I wouldn't have gone out on my own but felt perfectly safe with dh. The town was full of local young families at the weekend which was lovely to see.

It is a developing country so facilities and food are not the same as you would expect in Europe. There was a fair few hustlers around trying to tempt you to go to their brother/uncle/grandma's stall in the market but I had read about this and knew you need to be firm, bordering on rude to get rid of them. It's definitely a 'Marmite' destination! I would happily go back.

Japan?

I would second Aruba in the Caribbean. It’s so far South it sits outside of the hurricane belt so weather in July and August, which is when we visited, is much more settled than other places in the Caribbean. It’s a Dutch owned island, it’s really safe to travel around. We hired a car and you can drive around the whole island and visit other beaches and sites. It’s also great for snorkelling.

@20DigitCombination considering Cape Verde for Easter. Where did you stay? Did you feel safe? And would you go with small children?

i don’t need lots to do just a resort with a beach, pool and mini disco (the TUI resorts seem to offer that but all have mixed reviews 😣)

I wouldn't never ever go back. Was dire, absolutely filthy with flies all over the food. Everyone was sick as dogs.

AllIwantforChristmas22 · 01/01/2023 21:56

@Dic yeah have decided against it after similar reviews. My youngest is only 2 so don’t want to risk anything.

@AllIwantforChristmas22 Cyprus can be nice weather at Easter, especially if it's a late Easter.

Central Vietnam, Bali, Java, northern part of Western Australia

Singapore or Malaysia? It’ll rain for about 20 minutes every afternoon, at this point you go and get a drink or pop in a shop. The rest of the day will be hot and sunny.

Arizona in July are you high.

bert3400 · 02/01/2023 02:17

How about the west coast of Canada? Amazing scenery and pretty nice temperatures

Arizona in July are you high.

My brother lives in AZ and it’s one place on earth I wouldn’t want to be in July.

Sedona maybe

HowVeryBizarre · 02/01/2023 07:47

We spent all of August in Bali and it rained (briefly) twice. The Gilli islands or Nusa Lembongan/Penida are nice to visit with good diving and snorkelling. Seminyak has great restaurants, Ubud is interesting and you can do lots of temple visits etc. Candidasa was the surprise hit of our last trip. We don’t go for the beaches tbh, we live in Australia so find Bali beaches pretty meh but if anyone surfs there are some great surf beaches. Just avoid Canggu (painfully hip and up it’s own ass with shocking traffic) and Kuta (bogan town) and you can’t go wrong 😊

Holidayqueen1 · 07/01/2023 22:07

We’ve been to Koh Samui and Phan gan ( spelling!) in July and weather good, also Bali. Second the west coast of Canada, stunningly beautiful!

TizerorFizz · 08/01/2023 09:41

Yes. West coast or Canada or Pacific coast of USA. We also like South Africa. You could look at Kenya and Tanzania too. Namibia is fine in July too.

wast542 · 09/01/2023 13:22

Dubai

gogohmm · 09/01/2023 13:57

Potentially hurricanes in Caribbean and east coast of USA but west coast is usually dry. There's no guarantee anywhere though. In July I would personally stick to southern Europe

TizerorFizz · 09/01/2023 18:21

You would be unlucky to have a hurricane in the Caribbean in early July. In July we absolutely avoid southern Europe. It’s now unbearably hot and not long haul. Dubai in July is also unbearable.

Singapore or Malaysia? It’ll rain for about 20 minutes every afternoon, at this point you go and get a drink or pop in a shop. The rest of the day will be hot and sunny

in Singapore you are risking more variable rain patterns any time of year. It will always be hot though :)

Per previous poster, Japan is hot and humid in July.

Bali should be fine :)

Justforthissnippet · 10/01/2023 07:41

I think (but do your own research) that Da Nang (beach) and Hoi An in Vietnam are not too bad with rain this time of year. Hot, hot, hot though
