Nice holiday parks in Europe with kids by train/public transport

Planning a trip with a friend so will have two adults and three kids aged 5, 8 and 11. We won't be hiring a car so needs to be accessible by public transport (preferably plane/train as one of the kids gets really bad motion sickness). We usually drive so am totally stumped as to where we could go. Ideally, I guess we would go somewhere with a few things to do for the kids and maybe do day trips. I was thinking Centerparks in Europe but I wasn't sure about travel options.Grew up in France and love Italy. Would anyone have any recommendations? My mate has made me in charge of finding where to go but am totally at a loss

Fly to Amsterdam and get the train, so many parks easily accessible.

Fly to Venice. Airport bus to Union lido. We did it for years. Kids loved it. The best Eurocamps get booked up really early. Tesco points too.

Pra del torri is nice near Venice. It's an hour and a half from the airport it seems

I won’t spell it correctly but de Kemperven would work for you.

Agree with PP - Venice and Union Lido or Portofelice. Or Beziers and La Carabasse or Club Farret. Or Bella Italia on Lake Garda.

I'm pretty sure Duinrell in Wassenaar is accessible by public transport from the Hook of Holland ferry terminal.

If you want all train then the Eurostar goes djirect to Amsterdam. There are lots of beaches and holiday parks accessible by train in the Netherlands

La Carabasse I have done by train - then bus or taxi from Agde station.

JJJSchmidt · 29/12/2022 11:13

I agree with the kempervennen or der eemhof centerparcs sites. Kempervennen is closer to brussels and eemhof Amsterdam in terms of the main eurostar stops.

Thank you for all the suggestions - will spend the next couple of days checking them all out. Ideally, we could find something that doesnt involve buses or taxis at the other end cos of motion sickness

Duinrell, Holland. Fly/ Eurostar to Amsterdam then train to Den Hag then bus. Really easy to get around without a car whilst you're there too.

MissAmbrosia · 30/12/2022 12:07

Bella Italia you could walk from the station at Peschiera.
