Summer holiday suggestions for teens and 3 year old?

Looking for any holiday ideas for 3 teens and a 3 year old. They all like beaches and pools but no where tacky - we've liked majorca (puerto pollenca) and st ives type areas before ....
thinking portugal? or somewhere in scotland? or maybe lake garda?

any suggestions ???
5-7.5k budget

I went to a huge holiday park in Italy north of Venice (near Caorle) which had many different accommodation options, several restaurants, on the beach and multiple pools etc - should suit well. Very pan European, not full of drunk Brits!

thanks i was just looking at lake garda type area as well... accommodation seems reasonably priced

i love majorca but we've been a few times and fancies somewhere different
