Beautiful winter holidays, cold but not skiing

Any suggestions? I’m thinking fjords, icebergs, northern lights, snug hotels, but definitely not a ski resort (I’m a reluctant skier).

Have you been anywhere beautiful in winter that you’d recommend? Iceland? Canada? Any ideas gratefully received.

Following because this sounds like my ideal holiday.
Each summer I try to go somewhere where I'll avoid excessive heat. Failed with Paris (heatwave) and Belgium (heatwave), have had more success with Northern Ireland and North Wales.
But your OP sounds idyllic. Maybe I should take my main holiday in winter and just endure summer at home.

We've done a number of city breaks at Christmas: Rome, Prague, Budapest, Bilbao, Berlin, Hamburg, Venice.

None have been specifically for wintery aspects but all very nice. Some colder than others.

We've been to Stockholm in July, and while this isn't winter it was cool low 20s, and very pleasant.

Finnish Lapland. Unbelievably beautiful! Stay in a log cabin with its own sauna. You can do activities like dog sledding, reindeer sledding, cross country skiing, snow shoeing. You can go to the ice hotel and/or stay in a glass igloo to try and see the northern lights. You can just chill in a cosy, snowy paradise! It's amazing!

Iceland in early February. Just beautiful. Lots to see and do despite the short days and higher possibility of clear skies to see the northern lights.
Flights and accommodation were reasonable but food was expensive

@User1435 that sounds amazing! I cross country ski but hate downhill. And fancy snow shoeing. Who did you book with?

Highly recommend Levi in Finnish Lapland, as PP we did ice skating, snow mobile safari, horseback riding, snow shoe walking , ice hotel, reindeer farm and xc skiing.
We went 4 years ago February half term, and stayed at the K5 hotel which was fabulous. DH, myself and Dd 12. Booked everything through Ingram’s travel.

Sorry for late reply! Ingrams. They were amazing to deal with (was in 2017 so was a while ago!)

Sorry failed to quote you above. We stayed in Yllas log cabins with Inghams. We did the trip to the glass igloo and ice hotel independently using taxis but hiring a car would be pretty easy there actually.
