50th birthday trip

I will turn 50 towards the end of 2023 and would like to have a few days away with DH. The shortlist so far is Prague, Iceland (or somewhere where we may see the Northern Lights) or New York....
It will be November time. Any opinions/experience/advice?? Thanks!

Personally I'd go somewhere hot at that time of year. Ibiza, Sri Lanka, South Africa.

We had exactly this last October. Our shortlist was Copenhagen, Iceland and Dubrovnik. We ended up on a cruise as it was our first time away without children and felt very special for celebrating two big birthdays.

I will only be able to get a few days off work due to the time of year, so will be a 4 day max trip.

Iceland sounds fun but you'd have any barely daylight that time of year - worth considering

Reykjavik is amazing but I think you do run the risk in November of storms possibly detailing some of the trips - we went in May.

Marrakech is lovely and warm in November but it's bot to everyone's taste.

I don't think I would mind too much. Winter is my favourite time of year😄

IF op had wanted hot places they would have mentioned a hot place.

We went to Iceland in September for 8 days touring the south coast and loved it, but it is very expensive to eat, but then so is New York at the moment, I know two people who have just returned from there who were shocked at the prices in NY at the moment
We just missed the Northern Lights in Iceland but still saw some wonderful sights

Im A November birthday we did two weeks Singapore and I week in Perth for my 50th. For Europe Riga is nicer than Prague. Budapest or Helsinki? I got married in kakkslauttenen in Finland and then went to Helsinki
