Looking at a villa in Croatia next summer, any recommendations? Places to avoid?

We usually drive to south of France or northern Italy, so thinking Croatia would be equally drivable, probably via Austria.

We go to Cavtat . You can catch a water bus across to Dubrovnik to see the walled city. Croatia is lovely very welcoming .

We loved the islands. Lovely food, ice cream like in Italy. Bring cash as hardly anywhere takes card payments.

I think Istria is one of the best place for a family holiday in Croatia. Try the coastal resorts of Poreč or Rovinj and you’ll have loads to keep them occupied without having to venture too far. On our last trips we stayed near Pical Beach in Poreč and nearly every restaurant was very child-friendly. There are also two big water parks in Istria.
