Where would you recommend to go for 7-10 days. Older kids, looking for a bit of sun, relaxation, but like exploring.

Depends on your budget.
Miami would be my suggestion if you’ve got a big budget. It would be warm enough for days on the beach or by the pool, and there’s plenty to do for all ages and interests.
For not quite such a large budget, Cancun or Antalya are good destinations for both beach and exploring.
