I'm looking for some help if possible. My husband is 40 next year so I'm looking for a short break. 2-3 nights (child free) Flying from Manchester where possible. He said he'll go anywhere.

We love walking round discovering new places & eating in local restaurants/ food market.

I was looking at New York but there doesn't seem to be many flights yet. This is coming in at around 2.5k

We've been to (and loved) Amsterdam, Krakow, Belfast, Madrid.

Would love some suggestions thanks

most flights for dec 23 will start showing in about Jan, its usually 11 months before they appear

You’ll want more than 2-3 nights in New York. How about Bruges? It’s magical in December.

2-3 nights wouldn’t be enough for NY I’d say. 4 nights at a push but ideally 5+.

For December what about somewhere Christmassy - Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava, Prague?
