Porto hotels or apart hotel recommendations please

Hi
We're going to Porto at Easter for 3 nights , just DH and I.

Trying to pick accommodation but there are literally so many options that my head is hurting trying to pick !

We would like something central, possibly with some sort of municipal outdoor area or a balcony. Ideally quite inexpensive. Oh and we are arriving after 7 which appears to be a bit of an issue for check in at some places.

I stayed in a great air bnb when I went but it doesn’t appear to be on there anymore! Definitely look at air bnbs (if you haven’t already) - Porto is so beautiful, lovely architecture and cobbled streets, the river cruise and port tasting etc. we also walked to the beach which was about a 50 min walk and nice for something different to do. You’ll have a great time!!

We stayed at CocoRico guest house a few weeks ago and would highly recommend it. We loved Porto - it's a great city.

I stayed here a few years ago - Castelo de Santa Caterina. It's about 10 minutes walk to the town centre and is a converted castle.
Not sure about check in times but I think some of the rooms have outdoor space.

Thanks @ReviewingTheSituation and @UsedToBeAtAmber , I booked a room at the Castelo de Santa Caterina as do fancy staying in a castle. I looked at CocoRico but it was quite pricey.

Oh I hope you like it. This bar is on the same street - Santa Cachaça Bar. It's tiny and amazing.

We stayed in the centre - but if we went back we'd stay in Foz - just beautiful and. that pub on the beach - so nice, could sit or lie there all day!
