Could anyone recommend a city break for February with lots to do for children? I though I had found the perfect place in Copenhagen but it's apparently the rainiest month and Tivioli Gardens is closed.

Valencia! The aquarium id the best in Europe and you could spend a whole day there! Next door is the science museum. Outside is a giant pool with boats etc. We spent a day there and are planning on going back for a weekend as there was so much to do.

Barcelona - zoo, aquarium, the Gaudi buildings with funky rooftops and Park Guell. Cable car over the harbour. Mount Tibidabo with funicular. The food market. Beach. Olympic park. Singing fountains

Cairo. Amazing place, you’d have great weather, the hotels can be fabulous. The pyramids and museum are wonderful. I took my stepson when he was 9, he’d recently done about the ancient Egyptians at school and loved seeing it all.

In the UK I would say Portsmouth, especially the historic harbour.
