Must-do things in Prague over winter?

Please help,

Visiting Prague next week for a whole week and it's been so long since I've travelled I am completely out of the loop 🤣

Looking for recommendations of things to see while we are there, happy to travel over an hour away for day trips. We will be with our baby so would be keen to find out about the food options, is there much in the way of take away food for ease?

We are keen to visit the Xmas markets but other than that I am stuck with what to do. We are a very easy going family and would be open to anything (obviously with baby this might be restricted).

Any tips at all regarding food, transport, day trips etc are welcome.

Many thanks

We had a deliveroo or uber eats Maccy D's last time we were there - so they do have all that. It's a city with all the normal takeaway options. Whereabouts are you staying? The castle is well worth a visit. You can do a self-tour of the Jewish quarter which is fascinating - if sad. The funicular up Petrin Hill. A wander round Mala Strana and the John Lennon wall. Mucha Museum. We've done visits to Kutna Hora, Karlovy Vary, Ceske Budejovice and Brno over the years. Public transport is cheap - good network of metro and trams. Not sure about boat trips in the winter. There's a zoo just outside of town and a technical museum with Sputniks etc. I'd sign up for some free guided walks. It will be freezing outside and very warm indoors as I recall from winter visits - so easily removable layers are key.

These are fabulous ideas, thank you! We will be staying outside of the city centre but apparently within easy access of the metro. Definitely will be layering, particularly with baby in mind!
