Can you help? We need to find a hotel for overnight stop on way to southwest coast - so perhaps somewhere near Rouen, Tours, Chartres, Le Mans, Orleans or just southwest of Paris. But, there will be 2 adults, 2 kids under 6 and a baby. Has anyone found hotels that can take so many in a room? We want to make it a bit more of a treat than the Formula1 type options. But not a complete budget blower either. Do you think we'd need interconnection rooms? Any great websites for this sort of thing?

Is this possible? Anyone found something similar?

Hi there

As far I know, health and safety in France stop hotels accomodating more than 4 people in a room.

So, what we have always done is taken 2 interconnecting rooms.

Assuming you want to stop just off the motorway, then have you tried Kyriad, Novotel, Suitehotel?

Try www.accorhotels.com or www.louvrehotels.com

We have always stayed in and around Orleans. We never opt for the super budget hotels, but usually opt for Campanile or Ibis.

hope this helps!

If you want to be near Rouen take a loomk at the Novotel Rouen Sud - it's fantastic. We/ve stayesd there a few times. Just off the motorway between a uni and a convention area. The food is great - reallt lookafter kids in restauarant. Got an outdoor pool, tennis courts, play area, small wooded area where the kids had woodland walks! Inside they had the kids play area with playstations (dh!!), lego etc near one end of the bar so you could have a drink while kids played! Lots of restaurants a small walk away and a wood a minute or so away where we went for a walk before setting offthe next day. Mcdonalds , small supermarketa nd petrol station just round corner. really lovely place ansd ideal for a stopover. We'd use it again. Need to phone and ask them about having 5 in a room. They were very helpful over the phone.
