Hot holiday - what does baby wear!?

My baby will be three months old when we go to Mexico in a couple of weeks. I am getting really anxious about the weather and what he should be wearing. Ive bought him some short rompers and thought maybe in the day he would just stay in a nappy or vest in the shade. Then I had the thought of Mozzys and how it’s best his whole body is covered. So should he be wearing long leg/arm babygrows?

can someone please help me on the sort of things he should be wearing in the day and and in the evening ?
thank you

I’ve been to mexico in January and didn’t find mosquitoes to be too much of a problem, maybe was bitten twice, and toddler DD not at all.
You can get this repellent for babies I’ve used it on mine:

You can also get nets for the pram if you want to look into that.

Clothes wise obviously depends where you’re going, we went to Cancun, but short sleeved romper during the day and babygrow at night should be fine. I don’t recall it being that hot actually and was definitely wearing a cardigan at night.

At that age you won't have them in the sun, but make sure you have a sunshade for your buggy. We just had ours in a nappy and if they went in the pool a full rash suit, but only at either end of the day (which made their skin sore and I wish I'd not bothered)

Thank you. You have both reassured me. We will be in Cancun. I will purchase the repellent and a shade for the stroller :)

i have also purchased a UV pop up tent , a new silver cross pop stroller as it has a huge hood.

Just keep out of the sun as much as possible and most importantly - have a wonderful time! Schedule a shift pattern if you can do all adults get an hour or so on their own each day to swim / snooze whatever

I had my DC2 in summer here in Portugal. at 4 weeks old he was in 35 degrees heat, he had a baby vest on in the shade, at night make sure you've got repellent you can get little wrist bands from chemists to deter mozzies. keep all windows and shutters closed during the day to keep the place you're staying cool and closed at night to stop the mozzies. my kids use just a sheet at night now older but tiny baby i think i still used a v thin sleeping bag and nappy. and took it off if got too warm.
